Meant to post this on Friday but I’m down at the shore for the week so I’ll continue my posts next Monday.
I definitely need to dedicate a whole post to the Sandusky trials and obviously this trip so I’ll talk to you guys on the 2nd!!

Yesterday I found out that Tiësto: Club Life College Invasion Tour 2012 was coming to Penn State in October and that tickets were going on sale next week. I’ve heard a little about Tiësto and really got the grasp of it when I saw this tour teaser. I was so excited and knew there was NO WAY I was gonna miss this. THEN I got an email saying since I’ve been to an EDM concert at the Bryce Jordan Center before that I get to purchase my tickets at the presale which happened this morning so my tickets are acquired!!! That is also in addition to my football tix I purchased Tuesday morning for PSU so I’m all set! Broke but all set! I’m so excited for what’s to come this up incoming school year I cannot wait!

I’m not sure where you’re reading this from but here in Pennsylvania it is a SCORCHER. That being said, I thought it’d be appropriate for me to write a few tips about beating those high temps.
1. Most importantly, for your protection, where sunscreen. Obviously when the sun is out beaming down on you, you have high potential of being roasted. Make sure you apply sun screen thoroughly and often.
2. Make sure you not only apply deodorant in the morning but also bring it with you in your bag. Everyone knows your deodorant will fail eventually and stop working so you need to reapply.
3. Along with that, make sure you bring perfume as well. You need to cover up any odor you develop from sweating your butt off.
4. ALSO bring cleansing body wipes like playtex sport body wipes. It’s basically a shower in wipe form so you can clean up when you’re no where near a shower. They’re you’re go to item to freshen up.
5. Bring extra make up. In the heat, your make up tends to “melt” away you’ll need to reapply more than usual.
6. Stay hydrated!!! Make sure you have water available at all times.
7. Be choosy of what colors you wear. Black makes things hotter but also is best for hiding sweat stains. NEVER wear grey it is the most noticeable with sweat stains.
8. Also consider how you do your hair. If you have long hair it’s probably in your best interest to do an up-do so it doesn’t stick to your neck/face.
9. Wear sunglasses! Cover those precious eyes from the sun and make sure your sunglasses are actually protecting them and aren’t just “for show”.
10. A nice idea would be to wear a hat so it protects you from the sun and also covers your hair. Not a necessity but definitely could be beneficial.
Don’t let the sun ruin your summer! Embrace it and enjoy it with these tips!

This is quite the delayed post but my best friend’s birthday was last Monday when I was dd. Little did she know, though, a party was waiting for her at her house at school that her roommates have been talking to me about and planning with me. So her friends from school invited all her school friends and I invited everyone from home so it’d be one huge party at her house. I made sure to go there early because her roommates were the ones bringing her in so I got there with 3 of my friends and the house was already ready for the party with decorations etc. The only problem with the planning was that they were taking her out to dinner before so they couldn’t stall her too long so everyone was supposed to be there by 8. Since the house was about an hour away, it made it difficult for people to get there on time so for when she got there it was a very small crowd. She was so surprised when she came in. Only problem is that she was in full out business attire because she was at her internship all day. Oops. Someone luckily had some extra clothes and honestly once everyone starts drinking who the hell cares. I bought a bottle for me and her that she could obviously drink any of and I got her wasted pretty soon. There was one of those noodles you play with in a pool there that people were bonging out of and we played flip cup or pong so it was a pretty successful night … Especially for it being pretty far away. The place was packed with a lot of people I didn’t know which is actually good since a lot of people from my hometown suck so I was very happy with the night and was so happy she was a good time.

The reason for my tips on a happier hangover was due to my god awful 24 hour long hangover I had the other day. I really think there was no helping me because I thought I was going to die. I could explain all the shitty feelings I felt but it’d probably be more interesting to explain the night before. My friend’s parents were going away so she was having an open house to try to have a decent night at home. She had work and wouldn’t be home until 11 so she nominated me to go at 930 to watch over the house before she got there. I got there and sat around drinking a beer by myself with her dog barking at me for an hour and a half before she got there and no one even showed up yet. We were worried at first but luckily everyone came about 5 minutes after. It was only a small little gathering at first so it was awkward and our guy friends brought these girls we hardly knew buttttt we just decided to play flip cup because that brings everyone together. People kept being stupid and spilling beer and Lauren kept freaking out about it (understandably so) so we decided we just needed to go balls to the wall with the vodka and just get her drunk so she wouldn’t worry. Well I was her partner in crime in that task because I kept drinking it and actually decided to cut myself off at one point. However, her stepbrother who is the same age as us but just went to a different high school came home with all his friends and i got peer pressured in to taking shots of captain Morgan. That’s where I black out and wake up on my the couch in the basement alone with ice cream smeared all over my legs and face hahhaha. Lauren said we both ate a carton of ice cream like EXTREME fat girl problems. So sad I don’t even remember it but I think that was mainly why I felt so sick the next day. My solution of blacking out when bored at a party is probably not the safest and the smartest but oh well!!!! Hehhee

We’ve all been there: you had one of the best nights of your life partying and drinking the night away only to wake up to a pulsating head ache and the worst stomach nausea in the world. Well, I have SOME good news… There are definitely ways to lower that “punishment” for a good time. These ways both can be done before you go to bed and the next morning. Most of the time you’re definitely not thinking about the next day at 3am when you dive in to bed but just in case you do be sure to give a full water bottle or glass of water. The pounding head ache is from the alcohol dehydrating you so if you drink a ton of water before you go to bed you should be set. Since most of us aren’t this responsible at night, the majority of the tips are for the next day. You also want to drink lots and lots of fluids the next day. Water is a good idea but something like powerade or Gatorade would be better. This paired with some sort of bread food item or crackers should make you feel better. Pop an Advil for the pain as well. Greasy foods also are one of the best foods to eat the next day. French fries are excellent but bacon and eggs work very good as well. You just need to make sure you get a lot of sleep too and if you can, try to go for a run or something to get the toxins out of your body. Hopefully these tips will aid you with your hangover and make it a lot less terrible !

A lot of your life can be wasted away with negative thoughts. I know it’s easy to feel bad for yourself and mope around but honestly you’re just making it worse and no one wants to be around someone like that. Over the years I’ve truly learned to look at the good in every situation. It’s hard to hear when you’re feeling down but honestly you just gotta suck it up. There could be so many worse things happening to you that you really need to appreciate what you have. Plus, the bad in life makes the good THAT much better. Just think- whatever it is that’s getting you upset will pass, you will get over it and you’ll forget about it altogether. You can easy waste your time sulking about something that won’t even matter to you eventually or you can get back out there and enjoy life. Analyze a situations that way rather than over thinking it. Life WILL go on and it’s a beautiful thing that should be enjoyed.

A complete and total (and yet another) bummer to being home is that you need to have a designated driver. That isn’t optional- I know a lot of people who just drink a little and think they’ll be fine and drive home. However, you’re not only putting yourself and the people in your car at risk, but also any other car on the road. Especially if you’re under 21, you will be SO SORRY if you get pulled over and get a DUI…and that’s the least of your worries (it could be worse and you could get in an accident and hurt someone). That is why it is essential to set up a DD BEFORE you even go out. I know I party a lot and I’m crazy but I ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure I am either sleeping at wherever I am or that I have a completely sober driver. We plan it out way before we go out because if we don’t have one then we can’t go. 9 times out of 10 it will have to be one of your friends which sucks but everyone takes a turn…you just gotta man up for a night. Develop a rotation with your friends and if someone has something early or very important the next morning that they don’t want to be hungover for, they can take whoever’s place in the line up. You could possibly get a sibling or a parent to get you but usually they don’t want to stay up late and I’m sure there would be a lot more judgment from a family member than a friend. I was just DD on Monday for my best friend’s birthday. It definitely would have been a lot more fun if I drank but I’m glad I could let my friends have fun and they were safe … PLUS I chose wisely and picked a place that didn’t really matter to me if I was drunk or not so now I don’t have to drive next time when it should actually me fun hehehe. Anyway, bottom line is that you really need to be safe and it sucks but it’s so freaking important. I would pick a night of soberness over being charged with a DUI any day.

I don’t want to do anything regarding school these days. Nothing. Nada. Zip. I know the faster I do it and the faster I get it done, the faster I will get to enjoy my summer. While I instinctively know this, I still find every excuse and every way to procrastinate and put off my school work. Like yesterday and today…So, last night, I got home from taking a final and just ended up Facebooking and looking through old pictures. And then today, I’ve been off since 6PM today, but when I got home I ended up just Facebooking again and being stupid. I watched a ton of stupid videos on Youtube (found some really cool stuff though haha) and reading stupid articles about how drinking may make you live longer. I tried to focus but I just texted my boyfriend the whole time and I just got off the phone with him. UGH. What’s wrong with me. School is seriously stressing me out and ruining my life. Maybe I should seriously consider taking a year off of school. A break might be better for me and I can just come back refreshed and ready to hit the books instead of having to drag and force myself to study. I’ll think it over. My boyfriend is going to call me back any minute now and we’re probably going to end up talking for a couple more hours. GG. PROCRASTINATION FTW! SOMEBODY HELP MOTIVATE ME! I HATE SCHOOL!
As if things already weren’t bad enough considering my underage, yet ANOTHER curve ball was sent my way. This underage has been an emotional rollercoaster, going from being terrible to okay to not that bad to miserable to better and up and down and up and down over and over again. My latest status was that I had to take the 2 classes (one for the court and one for the school) which both costs 250 dollars, I had to pay court fees, and that my court date was October 31st but that was just the date I had to complete my classes by, I don’t actually have to sign up for court. My classes for the court will take place in the beginning of September for 4 different 4 hour sessions. My classes for the university are mid September…not sure how many classes I’ll have to take- I just have an initial meeting/”screening” to see how big of an alcoholic I truly am aka I’m going to lie out my ass so I have to take the least amount of classes possible. I knew I had to get my license suspended for 3 months but I wasn’t sure when…I guessed it’d be around October 31st since that was my court date. Well I was wrong…
I got back from my cousin’s wedding last night and saw that I got a letter from Penn Dot. They said my license suspension will begin July 17th and that I have to send in my license, permit and any other form of ID in and 30 days before the suspension is over, I’ll have to send in my insurance and all this shit and how I’ll have to pay a fee in order to get my license back. Like I haven’t had to pay enough mother effing fees MY GOD. So, because of this, I decided I’ll have to tell my dad since it’s in the summer. If he found out I was keeping this from him (which he probably would eventually), he would get much more mad and it’d be exhausting trying to lie about that anyway. It’s going to suck but it needs to be done. I’m going to wait until after our family vacation to the beach at the end of June so that isn’t miserable. I just hate letting him down, but hopefully I can explain it in a way to show that it isn’t that bad. Ugh the law/my school effed me over in every way possible on this. :/
