So I suppose considering this is my first post I should insert a tiny little intro!
Hi, I’m Phoebe! You can call me Phoebz, Phebert, Phoebear, whatever your heart desires! I love to blog/talk about/document moments in my life that can range from monumental to random, so I hope you enjoy my babbles about preparing for college, the honest opinions of my experiences, and my emotions and trials/successes along the way. I hope I can provide useful insight, a few valuable pieces of wisdom, and hopefully applicable tips or suggestions! And if I fail to do that for you, hopefully you can extract at least a laugh or a tear or two from my musings.
Here is my first of probably many random-ish posts!
Today I visited the holy grail of bulk products (aka Costco) and bought some mint flavored Mentos. My logic of purchasing 15 rolls of minty-fresh goodness was the idea that I would like fresh breath in college, where I will be experiencing many first impressions and
*hopefully* make new friends. So there was that crucial purchase! (I’m sure I will buy minty-gum in massive amounts later on using the same “logic”)
I also went to my local Office Depot that is closing down in hopes of finding some great office supply deals. Unfortunately, the ridiculous prices were immune to the fact that they were shutting down the place, so I walked out with some printer ink and a case of 20 assorted pens from Foray. First of all, THERE ARE SO MANY! I bought them for a little under $12.00, so I’m going to say that’s a pretty acceptable price. Secondly, while I feel a bit guilty for this, I took out one pen from another case THAT WAS ALREADY OPEN, mind you, and tried it out on the pads provided. I am not going to buy pens without trying them first!
(Please don’t arrest me for my petty deeds…) They were suuuuper smooth, as they are gel pens (but not like the ones from the ’90s) and do not leave those frustrating blank spots like other pens do. Can you guess what my logic was for spending 12 bucks on pens? ….Mhm! College! I am going to be so prepared…!
Okay, enough blabbing about pens and mints. But for the record, purchasing these *necessary* school supplies was the most exciting part of my day!
