College sports athletic associations

The two major athletic associations in america for college sports are:

  • NCAA
  • NAIA

The NCAA stands for, National Collegiate Athletic Association, and is divided into three major divsions. The divisions are classified numerically into Division I, II, and III. Typically the larger schools are in the Div. I class, and the smaller schools are in the Div II and III class.

The NAIA which stands for, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, serves too many of the smallest of schools in the U.S.
