<br />
I never knew that scheduling classes was so important, and can be the difference between an extra semester at college, and an extra several thousand dollars in tuition. <br />
<br />
If I could talk to myself as a freshman, I would tell myself to talk to my advisor and get unlock my ability to schedule classes as soon as possible, and wait at the computer when my scheduling period starts, so I can get into the hardest classes to schedule.<br />
<br />
I would also tell myself to make a mock-up list of classes with backup classes so the minute I was able to schedule, I would be able to get all the classes I needed, and if any were full, I could quickly get the backup classes as quick as possible.</div>

<br />
<b>Exercising:</b><br />
I found making the gym part of my regular schedule very helpful. I knew every semester there was a specific time I went to the gym, and it became just like an additional class I had to go to. Also, when you work out regularly, you feel better about yourself, and you are more motivated to stick to a healthy diet. <br />
<br />
<b>Healthy Eating in the Cafeteria:</b><br />
When eating in the university cafeteria, I would try to substitute more healthy food and drinks for the unhealthy ones. <br />
<br />
I rarely ever drank soda, and instead drank low fat chocolate milk or water. In the morning I would only eat egg white omelets with American cheese, and whole grain toast. I would eat tuna sandwiches a lot and sometimes tuna salad. These types of small substitutes can really add up and help you stay healthy and avoid the freshman 15.</div>
