Moving In…It will sneak up on you!

Moving into your college dorm room or apartment can be a stressful event, even if it is your second or third time of hauling all of your stuff around! I recently stumbled upon this helpful checklist on Bed, Bath & Beyond’s website (The Container Store also has a checklist). While not everything is completely necessary (do you honestly need a cap organizer, a night light and a vanity mirror?), it does spark ideas in your mind of things that you may have forgotten about. Like ear plugs….if you are living in the dorms make sure that you have a fresh pack nearby at all times! They helped me survive my first year, for sure!
I can say from experience that you can never start shopping for your goods too early. The earlier you start, the more you can shop around for the best prices. My favorite places to look around for bargains are Target, WalMart and Bed Bath &Beyond.
Once I start making purchases, I’ll fill you in on some of the frequently forgotten about items that I buy.
A few appliances that I would recommend for a college dorm room are: Coffee Maker (save some mullah!), Mini Vacuum (even a simple hand held one) & a Mini Fridge (store some healthy snacks in there!).
Your suggestions?!
