Office Hours…

…are important. I know that particular phrase is drilled into your brain over and over, but for a good reason. I don’t care who you are or how smart you are, you have to have something to ask the professor…otherwise, what are you doing in the class? Your professors decide on your final grade and, while many professors play fairly and go off of solely what grades you earn, it does not hurt to demonstrate that you are serious about your studies. Plus, by getting to know your professors better, you will know who to go to when you need a letter of recommendation and it will not be the first time that they have seen your face.

Office Hours are especially important if you are going to a big school. It is so easy to just go with the flow or struggle in the midst of so many people, but your professors are there to help. Why not get what you are paying for?
