It amazes me that I still run into people who are without a cell phone (or without a reliable cell). Despite the hard economic times, etc; I think it is important to fit a cell phone plan into your budget and make sure that you are getting the best deal possible.
You will need a cell phone while you are away at college. I italicize need because I guess you could get around without one, but let’s be serious…
1. Your alarm fails to go off and since you don’t have a cell phone (With a backup alarm), you miss your test…
2. You are running around between classes and need to call that secretary to set up that appointment about a scholarship/interview/whatever…
3. Some hot stud asks you for your cell number…you don’t have one…
4. You just want to call your friends!
It’s the 21st century, so if you don’t have a cell phone with a reliable plan, you should probably just put your fears aside and join us; won’t you?!
