"There is lots of information that has been crammed into heads for tests that have not survived the test of time!"
This is so so so true (times infinity!). I can’t tell you how many times I have memorized and memorized and gotten an A on the test; then a week later, I have trouble remembering anything but the simplest of facts. College is just so fast paced and you will always have something new to learn and study.
My advice (and I need to take my own advice here) is to focus more on the classes that have to do with your major. As a Food Science major, I need to focus more on my Food Safety Class & Organic Chemistry this year and less on Art & History. I strive for A’s in all of my classes, regardless; but when it comes down to the real truth, you should have all of your classes prioritized. Those days will come when everything piles up on you and it’s nice to know which class you should focus on first.
