Dirty Clothes

Posted July 17th, 2009 at 11:28 AM by emily

Oh the joy of doing laundry! I mean I have so much extra time while I am away at school, so doing laundry fills up that void just perfectly (sense the sarcasm?). Well, it is something that has to be done, so why not make the most of it! I have actually found the “wurr” of the laundry room to be quite soothing when I’m trying to study. Hey, it’s better than all of the yelling and blasting music that accompanies you in the dorm room.

Our laundry room in the dorms has a little ledge that you can sit on, and I find that it works best for me to bring down a textbook or packet of notes (along with my ipod, little bag of quarters and a granola bar) and use that 2 hour time slot to the best of my advantage.

As a plus, I can pull out my jeans and hang them on the drying rack while my other things take a spin in the dryer! Not to mention, I can check on my clothes about half way through the drying cycle to make sure that I chose a working dryer…it’s quite a surprise (and not a good one) to come down and find your sopping wet clothes spinning in a heat-less dryer.
