Hole in the Wall

Posted July 19th, 2009 at 10:12 PM by emily

You will reach that point in the year when you are low on cash, tired of the on-campus options, lacking the time, space and utensils to cook your own meal; yet looking for something delicious to satisfy your grumbling stomach. Hmm… Well, sure, you could run by Taco Bell or McDonald’s and pick up some run-of-the-mill fast food; but that will get old fast too. My advice?... Head on over to that little hole in the wall restaurant that you have been so weary to visit. More often than not, those random, small town restaurants offer some delicious home-cooked food for a reasonable price.

We have a shabby looking health store in my college town and, being the food lover that I am, I decided to check it out one day. What a great move, on my part. Not only do they have a lot of unique food products for sale, they also have a little café within the store. And the café serves fresh healthy food at relatively low prices. Too cool! My favorite dish is their egg white omelet stuffed with fresh tomatoes, avocado, cheese and turkey. Another little small town eatery that my friends and I discovered is a pizza place that serves the best pizza I have ever tasted. Seek out these types of places because they will become your best friend.
