Snack Attack

College students tend to be quite snack-y (am I wrong?!). I mean the "Freshman Fifteen" is not know across the country for no apparent reason. Food is a way for many students to fuel their studies and keep their mind (and mouth) entertained...which is fine (I like to munch!). However, picking the right snacks is just as important as studying the right way. To tell you the truth...it takes thought and a game plan just like all of the other things that you set your mind to. Well, I am here today to share with you a few of my favorite go-to snacks because while running downstairs to the little convenience store and grabbing a bag of chips or M&M's is totally not a bad thing (HELLO Almond M&M's!), it can get out of hand really quickly. Be prepared. If your school's selection is few and far between as far as healthy options go, don't rely on it soley. So what should you pick up next time you are at the grocery store (Target, Walmart, CVS...it's all good!)? Well, I'm glad you asked...
Pirates Booty (This is THE snack to buy if you are a muncher who likes salty stuff. It tastes somewhat like puffed Cheetos and is super low in fat/calories! Eat UP!)
Fruit (washing a big bowl of grapes...try freezing them...and keeping those at your desk will give you lots of stuff to entertain your mouth with, so that your brain can stay focused).
100 Calorie Popcorn Bags (I normally would NOT advise buying Nabisco's 100 calorie packs or anything of the sort because they are more of a teaser...being so small that you are simply left wanting more...the 100 calorie popcorn bags seem to never end though!
).
Cereal (A great cure for a case of the munchies, with Vitamins to boot! Unless, of course, you are like me and cereal is addicting and you can eat half of the box in one sitting. Have you ever tried LIFE? Case Closed.)
Veggie Sticks (This is for you hard core health nuts...add some ranch dip and we might be in business!?
