The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

When was the last time that you had one of those days? One of those days where everything just seems to come together...mine was today! What happened? Well...
So back to my speech class...I love my classmates and I'm sure that I mess up in my speech too without knowing it, but it's so funny to watch people get up and speak for a grade. Nervousness, forgetfulness...it floods us all. Some of the action that went on today...
Now, let's just hope my good day continues while I try to tackle some of this homework!
- I gave a 6 minute speech (by the way, speech class is the best entertainment ever...more on that later) that I had practiced for to the best of my ability and I didn't mess up too bad
. My TA even said that I set the bar high...horray for going first! - I got a good grade on my math quiz, although the class average was somewhere in the neighborhood of a 42.
- I feel pretty darn good about my Chemistry quiz that I took today.
- I am getting a KEVA later on!

What goodness happened to you today?

- One child said a few words (I was somewhat lost)...and then asked if he could just sit down. Come on, man! I would feel bad for you, but you need to prepare...
- One student just got flustered (that's when I feel for 'em!). He got through his speech okay, but he was constantly twitching his hands and popping his knuckles...
- One very responsible student forgot that speeches were today, forgot his visual aid and had no outline or anything to turn in; but did surprisingly well off the cuff!
- And OF COURSE there were the "Ummm" people. I think that is a nervous habit that is..umm...hard to ...umm..get rid of!
Now, let's just hope my good day continues while I try to tackle some of this homework!
