3 X 3 = 27

I have 2 midterms today! Whoooop! So this should be a really fun day (I bet you have some "fun days" in your future...). I'm headed to my first one (Calculus) in about 40 minutes…blogging is a great use of my time, no?

Actually, I feel pretty good about this one. Then again, math is always up in the air when it comes to the final grade. You know?! If someone asked you “Hey man, how’d you do on that Political Science test?” , you could probably give them a narrow range and be pretty darn close to your actual grade. But when you stumble out of your math test, dazed and confused, someone could ask you how you did and all you would know is that you turned in the test (sometimes, only partially completed). There is no multiple choice (at least not where I’m from) and you can make the silliest of mistakes in the midst of those long long long problems (one time, I put that 3 X 3 = 27…that’s not an exponent, Emily!).

Furthermore, if you do feel like you did well, you don’t want to tell people you did well and get your hopes up, only to find out that you made enough stupid mistakes to cost you a letter grade! Then again, maybe you did do really good…only time will tell. And if your professor is anything like mine, that time is very short (LOVE professors who grade tests ASAP and hand the papers back during the next class period…they have no idea!).

Well, now that I have officially crowded my mind with hopes and fears of how I am going to do, I am off to take my Calculus Midterm. I just need to remember that 3 X 3 = 9, right!?
