Question Worst lie you ever told to a professor?

Hey I have a friend that would have a new lie for his professors at the end of each semester. Some of his included: his girlfriend is pregnant, grandmother died (he used that one too much and got caught), and grand father is really sick.

What lies have you told to reschedule a test, or to get a better grade in a class?

One day last year my roommate and I wanted to go to go out for the evening but she had class, so she had me e-mail her professor and tell him her blood sugar was really bad and she was really sick (she's a diabetic). It seemed to work fine and we were getting ready to go when the Dean of Students called to make sure she was alright and to ask if she needed to go to the hospital or anything. Luckily we were able to keep her out of the hospital while still getting away with our lie.

Cool

Sorry I missed class. I had to take my mom to the doctor for her prostate exam.

I wouldn't recommend lying or skipping class, but if your gonna lie you should probably make sure you don't tell a lie that is too dramatic and people get worried. You also should be careful where you go while you are skipping class so you won't get caught (Ex: be seen my the professor or another professor). A friend of mine was seen by his professor out on campus after his email stated he was very sick and couldn't attend class.

Default Heh.

Yeah, if you're going to lie to skip out on a class to gain some more study time, or just because you don't feel like going, I suggest avoiding high density public places. That even means the campus. You don't want to get busted lying to a professor or you'll probably fail the course. Best course of action is to not lie. But if you must, be smart about it. Don't go overdramatic, and try to stick with stuff that you can actually prove. Overplay a common cold and go to a clinic and get it checked out! Do what you need to do, but make sure you can back it up, SOMEHOW.
