Hello, I was wondering if I could get some advice on my current situation:
I am a 1st semester junior at the College of William and Mary, one of the top colleges in Virginia. My current major is East Asian Studies, but I've come to realize that I am not really happy with my coursework and I would really like to pursue a career in (international) business in the future. I am learning Chinese and Japanese, so that should help me out, but I have no experience with business and with this major I have no opportunity to learn the finer points of the business world. W&M has a business school that I could apply to, but although I am hovering at around a 3.0 GPA, I doubt I will be able to get in. I was even considering transferring to another college, though with prerequisites and the amount of classes I would have to take, it would probably take me about 3 years to complete a business degree. So I guess I am wondering if my current degree could possibly land me a job in the international business community or if it is worth it to pursue a business degree at another institution. Any advice would be very welcome
Thanks!
