Smile Online discounts for college students...

There are some really great resources out there to help college students save money on their purchases both online and offline, locally and nationally. If you have any good links or recommendations post them below!

I recommend StudentRate - Home for retail and food discounts. It's free to sign up and there are some serious offers.

For college books, check out Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more - it's usually a lot cheaper. Our campus bookstore is owned by Barnes and Noble and often puts a heavy markup on required reading materials.

As long as you avoid the campus book store, you should be fine. For the absolute best deals, track down the drunk man that sells books out of the back of his utility van. Sure you might pick up a little crack as you turn the pages, but you want to be alert when you study anyways. win/win

    hai,

When you buy the MacBook Pro online, all you need to do is enter the Education Store and select your school. You can find the link to the store on their site, but I am sure you already know that. Then, you just choose your computer, add it to your cart, and make the purchase.

Heh. Try checking out any local bookstores, or even go to your school's library to see if they have the book. a lot of the time, you'll be able to actually check the textbook out!
