My favorite aspects of college were:
  • The Freedom
  • The Opportunity
  • The People

The Freedom - Having the ability to do anything I choose at any point in time is the greatest feeling ever. I made my own decisions and I was able to do what I wanted to do. I could choose to blow off a class if I had a more important project to work on. I could stay up until 5AM in the morning drinking if I wanted to and no one would get on my case. I could choose my classes and prepare for my future career as I saw fit.

The Opportunity - In college you feel like anything is possible. If you want do be active and do something, all you need is to find a club or organization that shares the same desire, or find other students like you to start your own club or organization. If you want to set up a large scale charity event, there are professors and administrators who will help guide you to accomplish your goal. Being active in college helps gain experience for life after college.

The People - Never in your life will you be surrounded by so many other people close to your age, with similar interests. If you are looking for a significant other, statistically you have your best odds in college. College is a great place to network with other students and faculty, and develop life long relationships that can help foster a successful career in the "real world".
